Terms and Conditions

It is important to us that we clarify expectations before an order is agreed. Please take some time to read the following terms and conditions. Should you have any questions or queries regarding them please do not hesitate to contact us. We reserve the right to change the terms and conditions at any given time.

Estimate
A free no obligation estimate is provided once customers have supplied initial measurements and photos of windows requiring a product which details the cost of each item to be provided. This is subject to change once Style My View Ltd have confirmed accurate measurements and full specification of each item is agreed. Estimates are valid for 60 days unless specified.

Consultation
Once an initial estimate is accepted by a customer, Style My View Ltd will arrange a free site visit and consultation to the customer's property. This initial consultation is used to agree the scope of the work, provide design advice and take accurate window measurements to be able to provide bespoke products. From this appointment Style My View Ltd will supply a final written quotation for approval.

Where a consultation is required prior to issuing an initial estimate there will be a small non-refundable fee charged to cover costs incurred (petrol and time). If a client proceeded to place an order as a result of this, the payment would be redeemable against the order.

Where a consultation is not possible Style My View Ltd cannot take responsibility for measurements provided. Adjustments to curtains or blinds once made by Style My View Ltd, as a result of incorrect measurements provided by the customer will be charged at an additional cost.

Terms of Payment and Contract
An initial payment is required to secure your order – details will be provided on confirmation of chosen order. Payments can be made by cash or bank transfer (see details below). All orders are unique and therefore clients should be aware that this initial payment is non-refundable where supplies specific to your job requirements have been ordered.
Once the items have been completed you will be issued with a written invoice detailing each item, the overall total cost, any payments already received (including interim payments on larger orders) and the final balance to be paid. Final payment is to be received at least 24 hours prior to delivery/installation. If payment is not received to this time-frame then the fitting/delivery date will be postponed.

Once payment has been received, our acceptance of your order brings into existence a legally binding contract between us. We will contact you if we are unable to accept your order for any reason.
You will become the owner of the goods you have ordered when they have been fully paid for and delivered to you. Once goods have been delivered to you, they will be held at your own risk and we will not be liable for their loss, damage or destruction.

Title
Goods remain the property of Style My View Ltd until paid for, by you, in full.

Cancellation
If fabric has been cut, no money will be repaid. If fabric has been delivered to Style My View Ltd but the order has not been started, a handling fee of 25% of your initial payment will be charged. If cancellation is due to issues discovered with fabric supplied by the customer, the handling fee will also be applied, this is including situations where a change to fabric may be required due to such issues.
For third party items such as Venetian blinds, roller blinds, and accessories such as tracks, poles and cushion inserts or other made to measure items, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, where the goods are ‘made to measure’ you will have no right to cancel your order, return the goods or seek any refund. Cancellations are only possible if the production process has not begun. For any third party non ‘made to measure items’ such as curtain tiebacks you may be able to cancel your contract with us for the goods you order but this will need to be checked in line with our third party suppliers terms and conditions. If you have received the ordered goods before you cancel your order then you must send the goods back to us at your own cost and liability prior to any refund being processed. Any refund processed will be minus any service charges such as any delivery charge. We will only action a refund if the goods are in a re-sellable condition and in their original packaging. Amending an order
Should you wish to amend your order in any way, this can be done so long as the order has not gone into production i.e. we have not started work on your products. Any such amendment should be made to us via the telephone, followed up with an email confirmation of the change. We must be notified via the phone, to ensure we inform production immediately of the change. Should the order already have entered into production, we cannot change any aspects of the order.
Should any amendment be made to any item by yourself, it is likely it will cause delays with the dispatch of your order. We will endeavor to inform you of said delays.

Returns, Refunds and Warranty Policy
In line with our cancellation policy all made-to-measure and hand-made items are non-returnable and non-refundable. Non made-to-measure products may be exchanged but will need to be checked in line with our third party supplier’s terms and conditions in regards to refunds and exchanges. Should you ever want to return such items in this circumstance and said product can be exchanged or returned based on the fact the said item was not faulty, the cost and liability of the return would remain with you.
All our third party products are covered by at least a 12 month guarantee, some products carry an extended guarantee, please ask you for more details in regards to the products you are purchasing.
In the unlikely event that any of the items you order are received with a fault or indeed develop a fault within the period of the guarantee, we reserve the right to repair the said item. This may involve issuing you some parts and very simple instructions to rectify the problem. Should the fault be un-repairable and the problem be under a guarantee, we will seek to replace the item free of charge. In order to speed up delivery of any replacements from us to you, we will often ask for photographic evidence of any faults.

Lead Time
Turnaround time is usually around 8-10 weeks from the initial payment being received. However please be aware most products are bespoke and the turnaround time can vary and is dependent on order size and will be directly affected during our busy periods.

Completion
Please note that once your items have been completed, we will contact you to make arrangements to deliver/fit them as necessary. We do not have the capacity to store items on our premises so please place orders with a view to being able to take delivery on completion.

Fixtures and Fittings for Window Treatments and Fitting of Products 
Style My View Ltd can advise on fixtures and fittings. Style My View Ltd can take no responsibility for any damage to property during or after the attachment of such fixtures or fittings by the customer or customer’s representative.Roman/roller blinds will be supplied with safety bead chain /cord boxes. Should you, the Client, refuse the fitting of safety boxes during installation or remove safety boxes once fitters leave the clients premises, Style My View Ltd takes no responsibility for injury or death as a result. Although Style My View Ltd may be able to advise, ultimately it's client's responsibility to ensure safe fixings and safe conditions for Style My View Ltd when on the premises installing window dressings.
If the client wishes to change curtain poles / tracks or other such fittings after precise measurements have been taken by Style My View Ltd then the customer MUST inform Style My View Ltd of such a change in writing, and new measurements will need to be taken by Style My View Ltd. If any change in dimensions results in extra work being required to ensure the window treatment(s) fit, then a charge will be incurred based upon the current hourly rate. The customer will be advised of this prior to proceeding with any rectification, and will agree in writing to the additional work and charges.

If the customer provides the required measurements, then all items subsequently made will be done so in accordance with them. Style My View Ltd can take no responsibility for any mistakes arising from inaccurate or incorrect measuring by the customer. Such errors may be rectified where possible, but this will be at additional cost to the customer.
Style My View Ltd are happy to recommend an independent professional fitting service for window tracks and poles. The contract for this service is between you and the fitter and therefore payment should be made directly to them and the customer will be responsible for any financial settlements directly with them. If existing fittings need to be removed then this must be discussed and agreed beforehand.

Disposal of goods
Disposal of existing fittings and products is the responsibility of the customer. Style My View Ltd will only remove any waste that is from the products being supplied directly from them.

Installation
Although we do not fit tracks and poles, we do like to ensure that our bespoke products are installed to look their best. We therefore usually arrange to hang and dress your soft furnishings at no extra charge.

Orders
No responsibility can be accepted when a supplier discontinues a particular line or range.

Shading
All pile fabrics are liable to show pile pressure shading. This is a characteristic inherent in all pile fabrics and no case on the part of a manufacturer can entirely eliminate the possibility of this occurring. The same also applies to third party materials used in Venetian blinds and roller blinds.

Fabric Supplied By Style My View Ltd 
All materials supplied directly through us are sourced carefully from suppliers that we have approved for use. We will unroll and inspect all fabric before making any cuts to ensure the fabric is fit for purpose. We always endeavor to source lining of very high quality.

Fabric Supplied By Customers
If the customer wishes to purchase material through a third party, that fabric will need to be delivered directly to the customer, unrolled and inspected for any flaws then re-rolled and delivered to us. All fabrics supplied by you will not be our responsibility and we will not accept liability for any marks, damage, imperfections or inconsistency of patterns. We will not check the fabric over and will assume that you have done so. Where possible Style My View Ltd will work around such problems but extra work or fabric required to do so will be paid for by the customer. Fabrics should be clearly marked with the right/wrong side and pattern direction.
There may be a surcharge where many small pieces are supplied from which to make an item. We will not be held responsible for the quality of the final product once completed when fabric is not supplied by us. When we supply fabric as part of an order, we include a discounted labour rate. Therefore if the customer supplies the fabric to us our labour fees will be at full charge.

Use of Silk in curtains
When choosing a fabric that contains silk, Style My View Ltd’s advice is to avoid using this type of fabric in a window that gets direct sunlight. Direct sunlight on the fabric will cause that area to fade over time (this time-frame cannot be predicted), fabric may eventually rot. Style My View Ltd can take certain precautions when making window dressings in a silk fabric such as using lining and interlining on the items and taking the lining further toward the edges to limit the damage but Style My View Ltd cannot remove all risk. Customers therefore accept responsibility of sun damage.

Fabric care
All fabrics chosen should be handled with care. Advice for their suitability for washing / dry cleaning can be sought from the fabric supplier. However, when a combination of fabrics have been used (for example where lined curtains have been made, or where trimmings have been applied) rates of shrinkage between fabrics may differ causing the item in question to be pulled out of shape. Style My View Ltd suggests that ALL fabrics be treated as dry clean only unless otherwise stated, and can take no responsibility for any damage occurring to items due to cleaning in the wrong manner. In cases where interlining has been used, dry cleaning is not advised, and it is recommended that cleaning is done by means of gentle vacuuming. Style My View Ltd will endeavor to match the correct fabric with the customer’s requirements and assess its suitability for the environment in which it will be placed. Style My View Ltd can take no responsibility for fabric behavior once within its intended destination. Any shrinkage due to high humidity, improper cleaning, or any other reason, or damage or mis-shaping arising from mishandling or other improper use will not be the fault of Style My View Ltd.

Events Beyond Our Control
We shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver goods you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control including, without limitation, strikes, lock-outs and other industrial disputes, breakdown of systems or network access, flood, fire, explosion, accident or extreme weather.

MAKE IT SAFE
Please note that internal window blind cords and chains can pose a risk to babies and small children who could injure or even strangle themselves on looped operating cords and chains. All our blinds are supplied with child safety devices. It is our recommendation that they are always fitted.
